Bereavement Volunteer needed for More than 1 year
Opportunity Description: Volunteers are the "heart" of hospice, even more so as we follow families after the death of their loved one. The bereavement volunteer must have a heart of compassion and the ability to empathize with our families after their loss. The volunteer will also assist with follow-up phone calls to the family, visits to the family, and mailings.

The Hospice Program emphasizes the value of life and regards dying as a natural process. Services are most often provided in the home and focus on symptom managment and the provisions of emotional and spiritual support, so that patients can live in comfort and maintain control over the events of their lives.
